Lunna Designs is a hardwood stair shop in Brooklyn. We mill, sand, and finish every tread by hand. We’ve been building staircases in New York for four decades — brownstones on the Upper West Side, penthouses in Tribeca, design-build projects in the Hamptons, commercial interiors in SoHo. The shop is small on purpose.

We work with four domestic hardwoods: white oak, red oak, hard maple, walnut. For specialty materials — structural glass, cast concrete, exotic species, stone — we partner with engineers and fabricators we trust, project by project.

Orders ship in six weeks. Delivery is free in Manhattan and Brooklyn; the rest of the country ships at checkout. Every tread is solid hardwood — never veneered, never engineered. Hand-sanded to 220 grit and oiled with a hardwax finish that can be refreshed at home, no refinisher required.
